I played this game "A Lot" when it first came out, so it can't be that bad ... however it does have it's faults the largest being that it can't be completed without some hex editing to get past a door very near the end of the game, the door is impossible to get through without editing your way past it.

The next drawback is there is no ingame map, and seeing as everywhere looks pretty much the same you can be wandering around for many real life hours trying to find a particular place ... Next, camping in the outside game map is particulary hard as you are constantly woken up to fight yet another horde of bad guys, fatigue quickly sets in so you have to keep reloading a save in the hope that the game gives you a break and lets you sleep so that you can move on.

The above is the worst parts of the game, in general it is fun earning money "Through Fighting Mainly" to get better armour and equipment, and the inventory management is endless though satisfying.

Botton line is you need to fight "A Lot" to make money to buy things like armour weapons and food ... Check your "Charactor Screen" after EVERY fight and save after every fight and even every action like before fights in Cities ... It is very randon and it's easy to get wiped out in a fight!

Daemongate is old school, the fights are brutal ... Main thing to remember is check your fatigue after every fight and if it's a couple of points down eat some food and save, fatigue is your enemy if an an enemy flees on the battlefield, it will drain you very quickly ... You can control how many bad guys you want to fight if you are aware of exactly when a fight is going to happen by saving just before the battle and loading again if you are not happy with the number of enemys, it's pointless fighting one enemy as there is no profit in it, keep loading until you get a larger number.

Always keep your armour to "Good" condition as just one piece that is in "Bad" or "Terrible" condition will get that party member killed!

The way to win is throught rigid and O.C.D inventory management.

  Holy hell this game is ugly. Is everything fuzzy to hide the lack of antialiasing and low res textures? With all graphics settings on ultra this still looks like something built in Gmod several years ago. Stick with Car Mechanic Simulator.
  
  I was pretty excited about Junkyard Simulator coming out soon but now that I've seen this and that it's the same developer, I get the feeling I'll be disappointed.. I want to recommend this game, I really do. I love the concept of it but I cannot recommend it.
  
  Plain and simple it's not done, not NEAR done. It's an early access game released and marketed as a full game.
  
  When I bought a "Truck building simulator" I wasn't expecting a truck building simulator with what seems like 3 parts to the truck.
  There's not enough trucks, not near enough parts, not enough tools.

Simplified version of Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 with painting mechanics.
  A bit confusing tutorial (at least to me) in form of short subtitled videos, but after watching some YouTuber playing the game it was easy enough to pick up.
  
  Good performance tho, probably due to utilisation of the Unreal Engine instead of Unity (learn PlayWay learn). Car Mechanic Simulator with the Unreal Engine would be perfect, add this painting mechanics and we have a best game ever.
  
  Game desperately needs more content, cars, new mechanics, new things to do, etc.
  
  Good thing there is a Workshop so I hope modders will come and spice this up a bit.
  
  For now I'm on the edge of refunding this game. I would rather buy Car Mechanic Simulator DLC's (if the CMS devs fixed their game). Will see about that.
  I'll stop playing Diesel Brothers now and wait few days to give this game another go. Maybe some mods will pop up or the devs will make some changes, but I really can't see them introducing some drastic changes as this is the final product not the EA one.
  
  I'll update my review in a few days, but for now it is a big NO, NO and the thumbs goes down.
  Not worth it not for this money. I've got a coupon for 20% discount on top of existing one due to me having a CMS 2018 in my library, and probably most of the PlayWay's games. But I consider this still not worth the money in its current stage. Sorry.. Pros:

  Feels like early access. Anyone remember Motor City Online? I get the same feeling playing this game, it has a TON of potential and I've been enjoying my time so far. Well worth the price aslong as you don't go in to this game thinking its like CMS because it is not.. This is my honest review of the game. i spent hours watching other people play and decided to buy and try. so far just over 3 hours played and it lives up to the name. i have read some reviews and find the negative ones a bit harsh. this game is called "Diesel Brothers: Truck Building SImulator". NOT Truck Mechanic Simulator. people saying to rather not buy this game because you cant strip the engine... NOT what this game is about (not yet anyway). the emphasis here is BUILDING A TRUCK. i find it more realistic at this point than CMD2018. Honestly. in CMS you buy hundreds of parts and poof, ALL those parts are on your person... like where? in your massive father christmas backpack? no waiting time for parts. you cant do body swaps or build a car from the ground up. HOW REALISTIC.
  
  another point i would like to make is this game was released to public 2 days ago. the potential for this game to add a crap ton more features is there. No game ever is released in PERFECT STATE. dont not buy this game because everyone says CMS2018 is better. CMS' emphasis is on Mechanic SIm. Truck Building is emphasis on Truck Building.

  if you are going to make huge changes to this game like being able to tear down a complete motor and more in depth tear downs, PLEASE do this on an advanced mode. the game as it stands now can be a beginners mode which in my opinion is good. if i feel like putting a truck together while waiting to go somewhere, how it is now WORKS. if i feel like wanting to try different engine parts then let me do that in a different mode. secondly, parts preview. add images to the parts store so that we know what things look like before we buy them. that way my garage doesnt have to have every single wheel type so i can choose what wheel i want on my new truck.

  My first 15 minutes was like "OH YEA THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT". Then I realized that was 90% of the game mechanics shown in that time. Tons of potential but just no where close to want to keep playing It.

  . Honestly, not a bad start for a game that was literally just released no less than 24 hours ago (at the time of this review). Single player is an interesting and fun way to segway into the game as you get to learn the basics, but the further I went on, it was almost like the game was wanting me to have friends! One by one, 3 of my guys from my discord got the game, and pretty soon... lets just say you couldn't see the floor with all the parts we had just chucked all over the place as we cranked out order after order. I would say that both single player and multiplayer has its perks. But I HIGHLY suggest playing this game with friends because 1. it makes working on orders easier 2. causes shenanigans to occur. 3. group efficiency really makes short work of a lot of orders.

It has this bug at the beginning of the game to where i cant unlock it or even play the game in its self because of this.

I know this will never be fixed.

Which is the saddest part of all.. I have always wanted to play this game since I was a kid. As an adult, I was happy to purchase it when there was a sale. The only problem is that you cannot continue past a point in the game early on. There is a door that cannot be opened because the game isn't optimized for current operating systems. Maybe someday i'll find a fix and beat it; but who cares it was $1.. The third Thief game manages to be vastly inferior to the old ones. It has much better graphics, better voices, animations, but that is it. Only asthetic improvements, everything else gameplay-wise is inferior.
Clonky mechanics will make you quickload again and again, making the game incredible frustrating. Shooting arrows down is a nightmare, you have to hit the blackjack in the perfect back angle of the enemies, for some reason blackjacking someone who is sitting down in a chair is impossible, corpses in the floor block your way and breakes some enemies' path in a very strange way.
And of course you will face bugs, glitches or crashes, lots of them. In mine, i can't change the 'Use Item' button, directly crashes the game if I try, sometimes getting a special loot makes it impossible to save, from time to time the lockpicking bugs out requiring to reset the game and some items in chests you can't pick up.
I don't know what kind of engine they tried to use but it is not good, the movement, the combat, everything feel low quality jank. They removed many items from the previous, even the godsend rope arrow. Also the choice of semi-open world where you have to walk from one map to another in order to start your missions may be interesting in the beginning, but soon becomes boring and obnoxious because you will have to slip through the same guards over and over again in an unecessary annoying repetition. And worst, you have to walk around the world in order to sell your loot for different fences, because (for some dumb reason) you can't sell them all to the same, making the walking around the scenarios even more obnoxious. The same occours for buying new gear like arrows, granades, mines.
The story overall is dissapointing, I was expecting something bigger compared to the previous games. At least Gerret's sarcasm is always on point, kudos for that.
Get the old ones and you will have much more fun, and sure, eventually play this one, but I cannot give this one a thumbs up
